About us

Who we are​

Xoriyo Foundation (XF) is a Somali non-governmental and non-profit organization established in 2020 in Kismayo, Somalia to support communities affected by conflict, climate shocks, poverty, and limited access to essential services. The organization works to improve the lives of vulnerable populations through sustainable humanitarian and development programs.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter and education. Our team expanded and we spread out in different regions to make sure we cover all possible areas and help as many children as possible.

We now run shelter homes, schools and a reasonable Xoriyo Foundation focuses on empowering women, girls, youth, and marginalized communities while addressing urgent needs in health, education, food security, water and sanitation, and social protection. Through community-centered approaches, the organization promotes resilience, self-reliance, and inclusive development.
Since its establishment, Xoriyo Foundation has implemented programs that support access to education, healthcare, clean water, livelihood opportunities, and protection services, reaching vulnerable individuals and families across Somalia.

Our Mission​
Our mission is to empower women, girls, and vulnerable communities in Somalia by providing sustainable humanitarian and development support. Through programs in education, health, water and sanitation (WASH), food security, livelihoods, and social protection, we work to strengthen resilience and improve quality of life.

Xoriyo Foundation is committed to delivering timely and effective assistance to communities affected by conflict, poverty, and climate-related crises. By working closely with local communities and partners, we aim to create opportunities that promote dignity, self-reliance, and long-term development.

Our vision is a Somalia where women, girls, and vulnerable populations are empowered, resilient, and fully able to participate in building peaceful, healthy, and prosperous communities.​

We aspire to see communities where everyone has access to education, healthcare, clean water, and sustainable livelihoods, and where local people play an active role in shaping a stable and inclusive future for the country.
